The Spectre of the Real is an exhibition of Social Art by a group of 23 artists, held in Brighton 13-21 April 2019 at SEAS Socially Engaged Art Salon.
Five artists gave talks. The first was given by Russell Honeyman, curator, to open the show. The talk concerns the Real, a concept of what lies beneath the illusion of everyday life – it contains a message of hope that we can make a better life, and that art can contribute. Following this, talks were given by Elizabeth Eade, O Yemi Tubi, Loraine Monk and Grant Lambie. Below is link to videos of the talks.
Finally, below, there is an eight minute video preview of the show.
